Blog Without Organs
These little old-internet, future proof, community projects were the cause of this post. I started making them 'cos Discord annoyed me and I got G+ flashbacks. They're all poorly implemented and maintained by me and exist on a server somewhere in Germany. Join up, all welcome, see if they can fill a hole in your soul. Fingers crossed.
Convos chat server. It's a cheeky skin on top of a regular old IRC server, and has all the functionality of Discord without any of the ambitions. It even bodges video and files and stuff.
Webring. I've mentioned this before. If you have a blog, join it maybe. I figure webrings are a levelling tool, with everyone benefiting from everyone's work on efforts against the attention economy. If you're not on patreon or substack you're probably a shoo in for inclusion.
Blogroll for Bearblog. Literally the only thing Blogspot has going for it over BearBlog is that damned integrated blogroll. I found the options for implementing one elsewhere were very confusing and I couldn't get them working, so I made one you can use without hosting anything or figuring out wtf Github is. (This probably works on other blogs, but I haven't tested it)
Nothing to do with me, but continuing on that web 1.0 theme I've been using Groups.io to organise campaigns recently and it's pretty neat. Free for up to 100 people in any one mailing list, or something like that. WAY more than you need.
Ok, that's all. The internet is dead, long live the internet.
