Still Thinking About Bed Rest
I have not stopped thinking about bed rest.
Beds can do... anything. They are the potions of the Troika world if you'll only give them 8 hours of your time.
- Cold Hard Floor: 1 Stamina and 1 Luck
- Bedroll/Cot/Sit-up: Heal 1d6 Stamina and 1d6 Luck
- Shared Bed: Test your Luck vs someone else snoring. If lucky, 2d6 Stamina and Luck, otherwise AS BEDROLL.
- Regular bed: 2d6 Stamina and Luck
- Troikan Goose Down Pillow: While using your personal pillow, plus 1 to all sleep results.
- Megatherion Hair Stuffed Bed: Fully recover stamina and 1d6 Luck
- Naiad Water Bed: Fully recover Luck and 2d6 Stamina
- The Grand Old Duchess Suite: Fully recover Stamina and Luck
- Demon Sea Sand Pit: Horribly uncomfortable and your dreams are indescribable, but it makes you hard and lean. +1 Max Skill until your next rest, 1d6 Stamina, 1 Luck.
- Feather Folk Guided Meditation: You're pretty sure this doesn't count as sleep. 1d6 Stamina, full Luck AND +1 Second Sight & Max Luck until your next sleep.
- The Witch House: Anyone sleeping here gets their bed rest plus +1 Golden Barge Piloting until the end of their next barge trip.
- Cacogen Sleep Pod: Spiky protrusions, unnatural angles, severe lighting, it looks awful and indeed is. Damage as Club, no Luck recovery, but gain an advance tick in Strength for your next game for managing to stay the whole night.
And so on. You can provide progressively more elaborate and varied sleeping options, at ever escalating prices. Stat bonuses, skill bonuses, penalties, traps, anything.
